Christopher Barrow, Avaya Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
Solutions Marketing Director
Christopher Barrow is a Solutions Marketing Director for Avaya in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In this role Chris must understand how Avaya’s products and solutions fit the needs of a wide variety of customers of all sizes and in all industries. This gives him a valuable insight into what customers are demanding, what other manufacturers are developing and what analysts and consultants are tracking for the future.
Chris has worked in the telecommunications industry in the UK for the majority of his working life, beginning at an engineering support level where he was trained in the basics of telecommunications and subsequently moving in to tier I and tier II customer support for Lucent Technologies. After a highly successful project to ensure all Lucent Technologies BCS customers were year 2000 compliant Chris was asked to build a customer briefing and showcase facility to serve Avaya’s customers and potential customers across Europe. The resulting European briefing centre soon became Avaya’s busiest briefing facility worldwide and serves as showcase for all of Avaya’s solutions. Prior to his current role, Chris was responsible for Analyst Relations for Avaya in EMEA.
Because of his mix of technical and business background, Chris is able to communicate complex and technical products in a real business benefits way. He is currently the EMEA specialist on Avaya’s Unified Communication solutions.
